Together, bringing memories to life
Andrew writes: ‘Whilst not a member of the Salvation Army, I particularly appreciate being able to support the work of their Homelessness Services charity through the sale of my Humorous Hassle book. This honours the memory of George, my father, born in 1884 in the East End of London, only six years after the renaming of the organisation as the Salvation Army. I know they helped make a difference to him, his two brothers and his sister before they were separated when sent to different orphanages.
They certainly needed cheering up so, I am sure, do we all when faced with our own personal challenges. The humorous stories in my book will help do that, if only for a short while. The Salvation Army makes a longer-term difference. If any of you care to help them make even more of a difference, then donating through Just Giving is a simple, fast and totally secure method.
